It started as an observation. Across the country, there are public charter schools that offer a classical education collaborating with Hillsdale College’s Barney Charter School Initiative. Demand is high and students are succeeding. Yet, in our Live Free or Die state and in New England, there is no such option. So, a small group of thoughtful, committed individuals with a shared passion for classical education came together to start a school.
This January, we formed a founding board and started the work. We visited thriving public charter schools and obtained advice from their leaders. We talked with parents and community members. We wrote and revised our charter application. We found a first-rate building in Peterborough. We named the school. We hired an Assistant Director. We joyfully donated to this entrepreneurial, educational venture.
And now, we are preparing for our charter authorization hearing before the NH State Board of Education to receive approval to open September 2022.
Join us in this inspiring work to bring this high-performing, classical educational model to NH families.
